I give a lot of my personal growth and success in having a morning routine.
I prep the evening before for any necessities for the morning, such as my running outfit, make sure my phone is plugged in to get charged, my earphones are charged, my coffee is set, and my journal is by my bedside.
I want to tell you why waking up at a decently early time in the morning and having a basic routine is important to me, and something you might consider for yourself. I speak from experience, everything I suggest is something I do and believe is highly beneficial.
𝟏.𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐫𝐡𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐦
The first reason and the most obvious one which nature itself suggests is the existence of the body clock. We as organisms on this planet, like most others, run in cycles. The daily 24-hour clock is the circadian rhythm and balances everything from eating, sleeping, and other physiological processes. The fact that it’s a rhythm should be clear that it’s made to run your day smoothly. Just think about what happens when two dancers are out of rhythm when dancing? It’s a disaster. The same thing happens when you step out of the circadian rhythm. Nature is pretty smart and tries to give us obvious clues, we sometimes just don’t want to see or listen to them.
𝟐. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲
The next thing is what I believe is the second main reason for my growth and success is a habit. The habit to set my day to come, every day. By starting the day early, organized, and with clarity, you maximize your time and have a positive influence from the moment you wake up. You are setting the tone and flow of your new day, and that is extremely important.
That’s it! Yes, I give the most important and basic two reasons. I can go on, but these two are the ones that get the job done, in my mind.
Do you have a morning routine? What time do you start your day? Please write in the comments below, I would love to know.
